Hive Management & Apiary Setup
We'll help you bring your beekeeping dreams to life!
Hive Management
Through our hive management services, we take care of your hives, so you don't have to worry about them. We use regenerative apiculture principles and practices to ensure your hives are healthy and thriving. Packages include regular on-site hive checks at your apiary, swarm prevention, natural pest control, honey extraction, and winterization. We also keep you in the loop about your equipment needs and can help you source additional equipment if/when the need arises.
Apiary Setup
Through our apiary setup services, we help you bring your beekeeping dreams to life in your first season. As a new beekeeper, it can be overwhelming knowing how to get started, where to get your honeybees, what equipment you'll need, and what to expect in the first few weeks. We help alleviate some of the stress by setting up your apiary for you. Packages include all necessary equipment, local honeybee NUCS (a small colony of bees and a healthy queen), apiary installation at your preferred location, and four sessions of tailored mentorship to get you started.

In this conversation, we'll strive to understand your goals and answer your most pressing questions about beekeeping. We'll also provide you with an overview of our services and how we might be able to help you bring your beekeeping dreams to life. At the end of the meeting, we'll provide you with an informational packet that includes beekeeping FAQs and guidance for new beekeepers in Middle TN.
After our initial conversation, we offer a tailored 90-minute in-person consultation for $125. This in-depth consultation is right for folks who have decided they want to keep bees on their property but are interested in having a bit of help setting up their apiary in the short-term and/or managing their hives in the long-term. We ask that 90-minute consultations happen in-person at the site where you hope to have your apiary. This will help us help you plan to the best of our ability!
*The $125 consultation fee may be applied to any future hive management or apiary setup package you might choose. If you choose to join The Honey Collective Cooperative in the future, the fee may also be applied to your membership dues!
