Directly Sourced
The Honey Collective is a honey cooperative. We buy local honey from beekeepers in and around Nashville, TN who are cooperative members. Then, we sell it under The Honey Collective label. We work with our trusted members, so we know exactly where our honey comes from and how it was produced. This way, consumers have the pleasure of knowing who their beekeeper is and where a particular jar of local honey was foraged and harvested.
Sustainably Produced
We uphold a rigorous standard of care for our honeybee hives that is based on regenerative apiculture. We try our best to never relocate hives. We only harvest excess honey that a hive does not need to overwinter. This prevents us from needing to feed sugar syrup. We also follow Integrated Pest Management best practices to ensure colonies thrive. Each year, we visit beekeepers in our community to ensure our standards of care are upheld.
Exceptionally Delicious
Each jar of our local honey is uniquely aromatic and floral, with its flavor determined by the landscapes and flowers honeybees forage. After we harvest honey from our hives, we strain but do not filter our honey. This means beneficial pollens remain for added flavor and health benefits. In addition, we do not pasteurize honey. This practice maintains honey's beneficial antibacterial properties, nutrients, and enzymes.
